Maiden Edition
Where It All Began
The inaugural CIO International Golf Classic brought together 85 participants from 12 countries for a historic first championship. Set at the Python Intl. Golf Club, Port Harcourt, this maiden edition established the tournament's reputation for excellence and world-class competition. Austin Akpodiete of Python PH emerged as the first champion.

Second Edition
Rising Above Challenges
Despite global challenges, the 2021 edition proved the resilience of our community. We welcomed 95 participants from 18 countries at Python Intl. Golf Club, Port Harcourt, expanding our reach and solidifying the tournament's place on the international golf calendar. Gift Willy and Mike Ubi of Terra-Wood Golf & Country Estate PH claimed the titles.

Third Edition
Global Expansion
The 2022 championship marked a turning point with 110 players from 5 nations competing at the Python Intl. Golf Club, Port Harcourt. This edition featured exciting competition and introduced innovative digital scoring technology, setting new standards for the tournament. Sunday Olapade of Ikoyi Lagos claimed victory.

Fourth Edition
Record Breaking
The 2023 edition broke attendance records with 120 participants from 32 countries at Python Intl. Golf Club, Port Harcourt. The tournament received its first international broadcast coverage, reaching audiences across multiple countries. Gift Willy of Terra-Wood Golf & Country Estate PH won his second title.

Fifth Edition
Championship Evolution
The 2024 championship elevated the tournament to new heights with 125 competitors from 6 countries at Python Intl. Golf Club, Port Harcourt, featuring 21 golf clubs. Sunday Olapade of Ikoyi Lagos emerged victorious in a thrilling finale, claiming his second title.

Sixth Edition
Legendary Moments
The 2025 edition delivered unforgettable moments at Python Intl. Golf Club, Port Harcourt. With 130 players from 16 African countries, alongside participants from America and Europe, and 36 golf clubs, this championship continued the tournament's legacy as a premier golf event. Francis Epe of Ikoyi Lagos emerged as champion.

Seventh Edition
The Next Chapter
November 2026 marks the most ambitious edition yet. With an expanded field of 200 players from 6+ African countries, America and Europe, featuring 40+ golf clubs and a record prize pool, the 7th edition promises to be the definitive chapter in the CIO International Golf Classic legacy.
